Activities – Show jumping, dressage, equitation, showing and eventing.
The Outer West will see South Africa’s Young Equestrians Shine at the Westown South African Youth Championships taking place at the Shongweni Club.
This Equestrian Event will see over 500 horses and ponies competing for the prestigious South African titles for juniors from the ages of 6 to 18 years across the 5 equestrian disciplines of show jumping, dressage, equitation, showing and eventing.
About The Event
Westown, the title sponsor of the event is delighted to see the Youth Champs back after a successful 2022 event that was attended by competitors and their families from across South Africa.
This event is unique due to the fact that the entire family normally comes to support the young riders. They’ll spend the day at the Shongweni Club being entertained in a retail village that has various shopping brands, food vendors, refreshments and much more.
In addition, there will also be a popular Grooms Soccer Tournament and in the evening there will be functions and live music.
The Westown SA Youth Champs, is one of three major equestrian events taking place at the Shongweni Club this year.
