In addition to the perfect fit in race plates, this horseshoe nail also has the natural antibacterial benefits of copper. The coating with Cu Shield Technology around the nail provides more protection than the nail in traditional steel and therefore supports an optimal hoof/horn quality. In addition to the antibacterial effect of copper, the nail does not rust and wear off in the hoof. This keeps the hoof stronger and healthier with daily use.
The design of the nail is distinguished by the larger nail head, which makes the race plate wear less quickly. The space between the nail heads in the fitting is just enough to easily pull the nail out of the hoof wall without additional damage.
The signature Carrera nail neck is a standard size that fits perfectly into the crease and nail holes of most race plates, regardless of size. Due to the strength in the neck, the nail does not break and there is less movement. The super-slim, smooth blade ensures that the nail goes in very smoothly with minimal damage to the hoof wall.
