Diamond Pro Long Wide Right Hoof Knife
The Diamond Pro Long Wide Right Hoof Knife is a professional farrier tool created for accurate hoof trimming, sole preparation and frog maintenance. With a long, wide blade and a right-hand cutting configuration, it gives experienced farriers a purposeful option for shaping and cleaning the hoof during routine shoeing, barefoot trims and corrective work.
A quality hoof knife is one of the most frequently used tools in a farrier’s kit. It is used to remove loose sole, tidy the frog, clean debris from key areas of the hoof and prepare the foot for further trimming or shoe fitting. The wider blade on this Diamond Pro knife can provide generous cutting coverage, helping the farrier work efficiently while retaining the control needed for detailed preparation.
The knife’s textured handle is designed to offer a firm grip in the hand. This is valuable for mobile farriers in South Africa who may work in different environments, from established equestrian yards to farms, training centres and private stables. Good grip and balanced handling can support more consistent, deliberate knife work, particularly when managing routine hoof care across several horses in a day.
The right-hand blade orientation should be selected according to the farrier’s technique and the direction of the cut required. For many professionals, carrying both left- and right-hand hoof knives allows more comfortable and controlled work on different areas of each hoof. Always choose the orientation that matches your preferred working method.
This hoof knife is suited to professional farriers, qualified hoof-care practitioners and experienced equine professionals. It is appropriate for general maintenance trimming, shoeing preparation and detailed cleaning of the sole and frog.
Maintain the Diamond Pro Long Wide Right Hoof Knife by cleaning it after each use, drying it thoroughly and sharpening the blade as required. A well-maintained edge reduces effort and supports cleaner cuts. Add this reliable Diamond Pro hoof knife to your farrier equipment for precise, professional hoof care in South African conditions.
